The following illustrates the kind of information we receive from the auction houses on vehicles listed according to a filtered search. The listing shows quick details of the vehicle, an average selling price (if known), where it is located, when it's coming up for auction, with links to general vehicle and condition reports.

Sample Listing Notes:

• Prices are in US dollars for US auction houses and CAD dollars for Canadian auctioneers.
• Odometer readings are in miles for US vehicles and kilometres for Canadian.
• AAV represents the average value which similar vehicles have sold for (some auctioneers refer to this as MMR).
• Internet AAV means the auction house did not have sufficient data to estimate the AAV.
• The Grade is a numerical rating for the vehicle. Each auction house has it own system. Some use scales from 0 to 5 where 0 is very poor (a vehicle being sold for scrap) and 5 is nearly perfect, very clean. Some houses use whole numbers; others use fractions.
• We can access more information about any of these vehicles by examining a report for each vehicle. We show a sample vehicle report.
• A Condition Report or CR button allows us to view more detailed information for a vehicle including tire tread depths and damage reports. It is prepared by the auction house.
• A Sellers Disclosure or SD button allows us to view detailed information for a vehicle. It is prepared by the vendor.
• Date - Time shows the date of the auction and when the lane opens.
• The Lane number tells us which auction lane the vehicle will pass through.
• The Run number is the sequence number within the lane. A low run number means it will be earlier; a high run number means it will be later. Keep in mind some auctions sell 60 or 70 cars per lane per hour.
• OVE.com indicates that the vehicle may be purchased immediately for the associated "buy it now" price (which is shown on the vehicle information page). The countdown timer shows the time left to buy it now; if a countdown timer is not shown, then the buy it now window has closed. If OVE.com does not appear, it means the vehicle cannot be purchased immediate.
• A vehicle "not at auction" typically is located at the seller's location. Regardless, after sale, it will be transferred to the auction house.
• Notice the duplicate listing at the end of the report. This represents a vendor trying to sell the car under a "buy it now" scenario but no one took the bait and the offer expired. The vendor re-entered the car to run in an auction.
